aromatherapist who uses these ancient natural healing methods to help
women and people with disabilities regain wellness and balance.

Helping Women Steer Their Own Lives: Meet Wendy Crawford of MobileWOMEN.org
Tuesday Apr 14, 2015
Tuesday Apr 14, 2015
In this fascinating interview, Jason Harris, founder of Jason's Connection, speaks with Wendy Crawford, founder and editor of MobileWOMEN.org, a website that helps women in wheelchairs unite and ask questions, as well as share ideas, insights, and experiences.
Wendy also discusses the Raw Beauty Project,
an innovative visual arts project designed to inspire the public to
create new perceptions, transform stereotypes and breakthrough personal
obstacles by expanding awareness of women with physical challenges.
Wendy Crawford, a professional model who sustained a spinal cord injury in 1984, resulting in quadriplegia, spent years of frustration not being able to find answers to what seemed to be simple questions regarding everyday women’s issues for individuals in wheelchairs. She decided to take action by creating a website to address these topics. In 2002, her vision became a reality--mobileWOMEN.org was launched and has had loyal readers and interactive participants ever since.
"If I'm completely honest, I didn't like being disabled...but gradually I learned so much from these amazing women, that it motivated me that I can have a life, I can accomplish things, and I think we need that, we need each other to learn that."
mobileWOMEN.org is a unique online magazine where women in wheelchairs can find answers to questions about health, sexuality, parenting, fashion, and other topics that are not typically addressed in women’s mainstream media. The mission of mobileWOMEN.org is to bring together current and accurate information on issues of interests to the disability community and to enable people to share and learn from one another.

Roberts, aka "The Man Who Listens to Horses" about his revolutionary
horse training methods, and his work teaching nonviolence and helping
veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress.
Here he shares some of his fascinating life story, his ideas on nonviolence, and his experiences working with veterans, and Queen Elizabeth II.
"It's not Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Veterans disdain the word disorder...
They feel a disorder won't heal but an injury will, so I call it
Post Traumatic Stress Injury, PTSI."
Monty Roberts has led an extraordinary life. He has been an award-winning trainer of championship horses, best-selling author, Hollywood stunt man, foster dad to 47 children (in addition to three of his own) and is creator of the world-renowned and revolutionary equine training technique called Join-Up. War veterans and their families visit his Flag Is Up Farms to experience the healing power of horses.
